Really just wondering if any could help? My poor GT Grade 105 has borne the brunt of the great British winter weather and my limited skills have kept her going as far as simple brake adjustment, gear trimming & cleaning can and she's begging for a really good tear down and rebuild.
I've never 'fully' stripped a bike down and also lack the full range of tools + knowledge (i.e. I have no idea what to do to get out a bottom bracket out) and was just wondering if theres any old sage's here that could help educate and lend tool/time to help out.

Just some advice would be happily taken on board.

Hi Damian,

have a look at the park tool website. They have really easy to follow guides and also do a good repair manual. www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help

Bottom bracket is a really simple job (£10-15 on tools) if you've got a standard threaded one but with all the new bb30/86/and so on press fit brackets I'd be tempted to take it to a shop if the tool costs are high.

Cables are also an easy enough job but I do prefer mine done by a proper mechanic.
